I got a few queries recently on how to transfer the baby for a back carry. Myself and Amber decided to do a very quick video on the hip scoot. At first this may look and feel challenging. It’s absolutely normal. Practice makes it tamed for both you and your bundle of joy.
So the purpose of this vlog is the transfer itself. I will show you how to do different back carries in the future.
To start practicing this technique choose a time that both you and your baby are relaxed. Proceed in front of a large mirror. Over time your body will learn how to achieve hip scoot without the necessary reflection. Most caregivers and parents give their bundle of joy something to play with. It can be a favourite toy or anything that will keep the small person occupied. Some brave food. However, be aware of the risks of stains. Make it as much fun as possible. Then it is down to practice. And remember, your local babywearing group is for you as a support. I will focus more on this on my next blog.
Happy practicing, happy babywearing and I’m here for you if there are any queries arising.
